Ford Environmental Wind Tunnel

The Environmental Wind Tunnel is the largest environmental wind tunnel in the southern hemisphere. It provides a controlled and repeatable environment for development of products suitable for global markets. The Environment Wind Tunnel is certified to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 and is supported by a team of 6 technicians and 1 engineer. The facility specialises in, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Vehicle HVAC testing
  • Thermal aero system engineering
  • Trim adjustment
  • Investigation of solar spectrum effects
  • Environmental cycle tests
  • Wheel Phase tests
